Hello and welcome veterans and new subscribers alike, to writing prompt number 32. These prompts are here to help you tap into the genius that is your own innate creativity by asking questions and inviting you to consider what an answer might look like.
The value of a writing prompt is that it’s usually different in some way from what you might usually consider ‘normal’ for you. Go with the flow, and write what comes to mind first without thought or editing, you may be surprised at what resides deep inside your psyche.
Where does colour take you?
What emotions does it invoke?
And how do you know whether the colour you see is the colour someone else sees?
Given that sight is dependent on the brain interpreting electrical waves coming through the eyes, how does anyone ever really know what’s going on out there in the colour of our mind?
The Prompt
This week, take a colour, any colour and paint a picture of it for other people so they can see it vividly in their mind’s eye. Paint it with words that allow even those who have never seen your colour to understand what it means.
My effort will be added to the comments later today.

Something to watch …
Apologies for the unashamedly political nature of the video below. Please watch and share if you recognise that a defining characteristic of being human is to care about the wider family which is nature.
With love, light, and laughter

There are those who mis-use my name to talk of sadness, being low and the singing of all the songs of pain...but that is not who I am. I am the colour of freedom, of wide open skies, of seas and oceans. I am the magic trapped deep in the ice and the colour of midnight with all its romance. I am the colour denim jeans and teenage daydreams. I am Sapphire and Topaz, the Akoya Pearl and the Howlite calming stone. I am throat chakra, colour of clarity and communication. I am freedom and truth.
